How do I claim a state I just spotted?
Tap the state on the map (or tile grid). You'll see the state's fun facts. Tap I Found It! to claim it and lock in the points. If you have Road Trip Pro on, a second screen will pop up so you can pick any bonus rules that apply (personalized plate, out-of-state, etc.) before claiming.
How do Custom Point Rules work?
Road Trip Pro unlocks bonus scoring. Define your own rules in the "Custom Point Rules" screen — for example, +5 for personalized plates, +10 for commercial trucks, +25 for your Hard-to-Get states. When you claim a state, check each rule that applies and the app adds them up.
What are Hard-to-Get states?
Before each trip, pick your three states that are the toughest to spot from where you're starting. Each claim on those states earns a bonus (default +25 pts).
Does it work without internet?
Yes. After the first launch, the full map and all facts are cached on your device. You can play in airplane mode, on a ferry, or in the mountains.
How do I share my score?
When you finish a trip, the completion screen has a share grid — Text (SMS), Email, WhatsApp, X (Twitter), or Copy. Your device's native share sheet also works anywhere you see the share button.
How do I start a new trip?
Tap New Game from the toolbar. You'll be asked to name the trip (e.g., "Pacific Coast 2026"). If you already have a trip in progress it gets auto-saved to your leaderboard first.
How do I reset everything?
Tap Reset Game from the toolbar. That clears your claimed states, score, rules, and Hard-to-Get picks, but leaves your leaderboard intact. To also wipe your leaderboard, uninstall and reinstall the app.
I found a fact that seems wrong. What should I do?
Please email us — include the state and the exact wording of the fact. We hand-verify every fact in the game and we'd genuinely like to know if something slipped through.
What data do you collect?
None. GR8-ST8S doesn't transmit any data off your device. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Known limitations
- The in-app share sheet requires the Web Share API. On very old browsers or legacy Android versions, the "Copy Text" option is still always available.
