Classets Support

Questions? Email headyeti@bigyetigames.com. No ticket system, no bot: a real person (the one who builds the app) reads every message. We usually reply within a couple of school days. Please mention your device (iPhone or iPad), iOS version and what you tapped. A screenshot helps a lot.

What Classets is

Classets is an investing simulator for students. You start with $50,000 of simulated money and buy real companies, funds and coins using real market prices. Nothing connects to a bank or brokerage, and nothing can be bought or sold for real.

Alongside trading there's Research, a watchlist, lessons, calculators (car loan, mortgage, credit cards), a shop simulator, a debt simulator, vocabulary games and a glossary.

It's a student's own tool. Teachers don't need to set up, install or sign up for anything: when you want to see a student's work, ask them to share their results with you.

For students

How do I get started?

  1. Tap Start my account.

  2. Type your name or nickname: whatever your teacher asked for. It goes on the report you hand in, and it stays on this device.

  3. Add a 4-digit PIN, or tap Skip the PIN on your own phone.

  4. Add your class or period if your teacher asked for one (for example "Period 3"). It's just a label on your report.

  5. Tap Create my account. You start with $50,000 of simulated money.

Coming back later? Tap I already have one, then enter your name and PIN.

What's the PIN for?

On a shared classroom device, the PIN keeps classmates from opening your account by accident. It's optional, and it isn't real security, so don't reuse a PIN you use anywhere else.

I forgot my PIN.

There's no reset, because there's no account server to reset it from. Make a new account, and next time share your results with your teacher regularly so your work is never stuck on one device.

Why don't prices change day to day?

Classets comes with a built-in snapshot of real closing prices (the current version's prices are from September 1, 2026). Without a price key, those prices stay fixed until the app is updated. Your portfolio still changes the moment you trade. Fixed prices are a feature for class: everyone trades on the same numbers, which rewards thinking about a company rather than refreshing a screen.

Want prices that move? Get a free API key at twelvedata.com and paste it on the Live prices (optional) screen. Classets then fetches current prices from Twelve Data. The free plan has a daily request limit, and the app works fine without a key. The key only sends ticker symbols to Twelve Data, never your name or portfolio.

A ticker is missing.

The built-in list covers more than 700 widely held names: S&P 500 companies, major ETFs, Treasury and bond funds, and a handful of the largest cryptocurrencies. Try searching by company name instead of the symbol. If something you need isn't there, email us and we'll look at adding it.

How do I share my results with my teacher?

Two ways, both through the normal iOS share sheet, so you choose where it goes (Mail, Messages, AirDrop, Files, a shared folder):

  • Export my full portfolio is the full report: your name, class label, total value, every holding, and every trade with its date and price.

  • Send my standing is one line: your name, portfolio value, return, date and class. Good for quick check-ins.

Nothing is ever sent automatically.

How do I delete my account?

Open How this works and tap Delete this account. This erases your name, PIN, class label, cash, holdings, trade history, watchlist and lesson progress from this device, and it can't be undone. Deleting the app removes everything Classets stored.

I lost my phone or deleted the app.

Your portfolio is gone, because everything lives on the device and there's no server copy. Any reports you already shared still exist wherever you sent them.

For teachers

What do I need to set up?

Nothing in the app. On day one, tell students two things:

  1. What name to type: a nickname, first name plus last initial, or whatever matches your gradebook.

  2. Where to send their report: your email, a shared folder, AirDrop, or your learning platform.

Then collect exports the same way you collect any other assignment.

What will I receive?

Whatever the student shares: either the full portfolio report (holdings plus every dated trade) or a one-line standing. Reports come straight from the student's device to you. They never pass through us. After that, they're yours to keep under your school's policies.

Can several students share one device?

Yes. Each student creates their own account with their own name and PIN, and taps Sign out (in How this works) when they're done. Accounts can't see each other. Two students can't use the same name on one device, so add a middle or last initial. At the end of the course, delete each student's account.

Is it safe for student privacy?

Classets collects nothing. There are no accounts held by us, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Names stay on the device, and data leaves only when a student shares a report. See the Privacy Policy.

Educational content, not advice

The lessons, calculators, simulators and credit-card comparisons teach how the math works. They aren't personal financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and real-world product figures may be out of date.
